(almost) FREE cereal!

There is an internet coupon for $2.00 off the new Honey Bunches of Oats with Chocolate Clusters cereal. The cereal is priced at $2.29 at Walmart. I've already purchased 3 or 4 boxes of this cereal using coupons that I printed. For some reason, when the coupons reset, I was unable to print them so I just clicked the "help" option at the bottom of the print page and filled out my info to have a coupon mailed to me. I also filled out the help option for hubby. To my surprise, I received 14 coupons today for $2.00 off a box of cereal. They expire on April 7, so I will need to use them soon. Am I crazy for buying 14 boxes of cereal if I can get them for $0.29 each?

CVS Deals

Thanks to Crystal at Money Saving Mom, I have learned that there are some great deals to be had at CVS. I managed to get $27.00 worth of merchandise for $1.64! Plus I earned $3.00 in ECBs for next time and I have a rebate for the full purchase price of one of the items!

Here is my transaction:

1 Bic Soleil Razor at $5.99
1 Soft & Dri Deodorant at $2.47
1 Loreal Vive Shampoo at $4.99
1 Loreal Vive Conditioner $4.99
1 Ensure Chocolate 6 pack at $8.49

My total was $26.93 plus tax.

-$5.00 (CVS coupon for $5.00 off $15 purchase)
-$1.00 Coupon on Loreal Vive

-$2.00 Coupon on Bic Soleil

-$10.00 in previously earned ECBs

Grand total: $1.64 paid out of pocket today. The Bic Soleil printed an ECB for $3.00 and I have a rebate for the full purchase price of the Ensure (form available here)

In actuality...I'll earn $6.85 on this purchase!

OK, so I've been MIA since the end of August. A lot has changed since then. I left my full time job and returned to school full time while working part time. Needless to say, that stopped the (limited) blogging that I was doing prior to that.

I think I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. We'll see how long it works this time!
